biography
I graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan with a B.Sc. In computer science and mathematics. While at UBCO I was heavily involved with the Quantitative Sciences Course Union, as president I helped to bring opportunities to undergraduate students through workshops and social events throughout the year.
My undergraduate research was focused on applied mathematics and computer science. Working for two years with the Early Detection team under Dr. Rasika Rajapakshe as a data analyst and research assistant. While there I determined the risk associated with a false-positive mammography diagnosis and designed databases for use in a micro-simulation model. After which I worked under Dr. Jeffrey Andrews developing a model based clustering algorithm which took advantage of decentralized intelligence to escape local maxima.
Currently I am working on integration of known biology into agnostic predictive models of the immune system.

I am an avid rock climber with the aspiration of free climbing a route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. I also enjoy backpacking, old movies, music festivals, and brewing my own beer.
