Aghaeepour Laboratory
The Aghaeepour lab develops machine learning methods for precision medicine in high acuity critical care: the ICU, NICU, and perioperative setting. We integrate real time multimodal data streams including multiomics profiling, physiologic waveforms, electronic health records, wearable sensors, and point of care diagnostics to build foundation models that capture acute physiology and enable immediate clinical decision support. Our approach layers multiomics analysis, including genomic, proteomic, and single cell phenotyping, to uncover individual patient biology and predict treatment response and adverse events. By combining high dimensional clinical trajectories with molecular phenotypes, we create multimodal models that enable precision interventions accounting for the urgency and individual heterogeneity of critical care. We are a highly entrepreneurial laboratory with a track record of translating research findings into real products deployed at scale in the real world.
