Biography
I am Mehrdad Kiamari, a Postdoctoral Scholar in Prof. Nima Aghaeepour’s Lab at Stanford University, where I mainly focus on developing large language models for biomedical applications. Before joining Stanford, I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC), under the supervision of Prof. Bhaskar Krishnamachari. My academic journey also includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from USC (2020), a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran. During my Ph.D., my research focused on leveraging advanced deep learning techniques, such as Graph Neural Networks and Reinforcement Learning, to enhance the efficiency of distributed computing networks.
