Biography 

I am a research data scientist in the Aghaeepour Lab. I graduated from New York University (NYU) with a B.A. in Computer Science. My undergraduate research with Dr. John T. McDevitt and Dr. Deniz Vurmaz focussed on automated extraction of biomarkers relevant for diagnosis from publicly available scientific papers. We used a machine learning-driven identification of biomarker panels for the assessment of injury presence and severity in trauma patients. Currently, I am working with the Department of Pediatrics to develop an NLP approach to the phenotype identification of COVID-19 complications from clinical notes.
