Bio
As a Research Scientist at the Prematurity Research Center at Stanford, I focus on using machine learning to improve the understanding and prediction of spontaneous preterm birth and preeclampsia. I graduated at University of Novi Sad and received M.S and Ph.D. from Rutgers University, all in Electrical Engineering. As a Graduate Student at Rutgers and later as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford, the focus of my work was on Information Theory, a mathematical discipline tightly related to statistics and machine learning. I am a co-editor and a co-author of a book on the topic and a co-recipient of the 2013 IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award.
Play
I am very serious about my daily workout and am a big lover of ballet (classical, modern, jazz) that I practiced for many years. Nowadays, my favorite play is with my two little kids.
