Biography
Hi, I’m Yijie Li, but you can call me Jamie. I am a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Tulsa in 2025, where I focused on applying computational and machine learning methods to biomedical data. Prior to that, I earned master’s degrees in Applied Economics and Finance from UC Santa Cruz, and in Accountancy from the University of Tulsa. My academic journey spans computer science, data-driven healthcare, and finance, and I am deeply interested in research across these diverse fields. This interdisciplinary background enables me to approach complex problems from multiple perspectives and extract actionable insights from large-scale data.
Interests
I am currently working on the Stanford CAMP project, focusing on the analysis of longitudinal wearable and laboratory data to study the effects of interventions for diabetes and childhood obesity. I use computational and machine learning methods to derive actionable insights from high-resolution health data to improve treatment outcomes.
Play
I have been passionate about dance since childhood, starting with traditional Chinese dance. At the University of Tulsa, I performed as a university dancer and trained in ballet. Currently, I still occasionally perform at Asian-themed events at Stanford, so if you see me on stage in traditional attire, don’t be too surprised! I also enjoy painting, creating content for social media, and video editing.
